As a service provider working to close America’s rural digital divide, you know genuine advances in wireless technology could make all the difference.  In this interactive webinar, you’ll learn how collaboration between Wisper Internet, Tarana, and Google validated true breakthroughs in fixed wireless that surpass 5G and enable whole new classes of rural service, changing the stakes for CAF-II and RDOF deployments.  Wisper CEO Nathan Stooke, Tarana VP of Product Rakesh Tiwari, and Google BD Lead Rob Katcher will give you exclusive insights into:

  • The revolutionary economics of Tarana’s Gigabit 1 system — powered by industry firsts in distributed massive MIMO silicon integration, non-line-of-sight performance, spectral efficiency, and interference cancellation — substantially reducing your network costs while raising service levels,
  • Google’s RF planning tool that gives you data-driven confidence to roll trucks (only once!) for G1 installations, and
  • Results from Wisper’s tough evaluation of G1 in a range of challenging rural-Illinois deployments

Nathan Stooke

Wisper Internet

Nathan founded Wisper Internet in 2003 after convincing his wife to max out their credit cards to deploy wireless broadband to businesses in their rural Illinois community.  That worked out well.  Under Nathan’s leadership, Wisper now serves over 22,000 subscribers in 5 states, is working to cover new territory funded by over $200M in CAF II subsidies, and is actively exploring new directions for further expansion.

Rakesh Tiwari

VP of Product Management

Rakesh leads the definition and realization of Tarana’s products, bringing the company’s core technology advances to life in sleek, easily-deployable form.  He’s applying over 20 years of experience in network infrastructure, including wireless backhaul, core routers, advanced switching, and consumer devices at Trango, IDT, Pluris, and Jasmine Networks. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Bombay University and an MS in Computer Science from USC.

Rob Katcher

Business Development Lead

Rob is a business development lead in Google's Wireless Connectivity group, where he supports CBRS operators and device manufacturers. Prior to Google Rob was founder and CEO at hiku, a pioneering smart kitchen IoT company. He's been involved in wireless since 2002, creating some of the earliest downloadable mobile apps and serving as a product leader with Palm. Rob holds a BA from the University of Georgia in Economics and a Masters in Computer Science and Entrepreneurship from Princeton.
