Connie Barrera serves as Chief Information Security Officer at Miami-based Jackson Health System, and has more than 24 years of experience in the IT industry. She has spent considerable time in almost every role within IT, including endpoint support and architecture, systems engineering and architecture, in addition to her current role in security. Barrera develops and maintains risk management, security awareness and compliance programs to effectively deal with the implications of legislated requirements that impact security for the institution. This includes but is not limited to HIPAA, PCI, FDA Part 11 and the Red Flag Rules.


Aaron Miri — Chief Information Officer, Walnut Hill Medical Center

Aaron Miri serves as Chief Information Officer at Dallas-based Walnut Hill Medical Center and has held leadership roles in health IT for more than a decade. He is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO) through the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), a distinguished Fellow with the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI). At Walnut Hill, Miri is responsible for directing all efforts of the information services in the organization, including the electronic medical record and interfaced ancillary systems, all supporting technology, and support for those systems.



Ellen Derrico — Senior Director, Product Marketing

Ellen Derrico is the Senior Director of Product Marketing for Healthcare & Life Sciences at RES Software, responsible for building the go-to-market strategy for these and other related industries. Her background spans marketing, sales, business & market development, R&D, and clinical. Prior to joining RES, Ellen led the strategy and execution for Healthcare & Life Sciences market development at Qlik, resulting in Qlik being selected as the #1 BI provider for Healthcare, "Best in KLAS" by KLAS research at HiMSS 2014, and doubling year over year revenue 4 years in a row. Prior to Qlik, Ellen served as Chief Marketing Executive for Paragon Rx (now InVentiv Health) and interim Vice President of business development, sales and marketing for P-Wave, a Ben Franklin Technology Partners funded company.
