Esteban López, MD
Americas Market Lead of Healthcare and Life Sciences
López currently serves as Healthcare and Life Sciences Market Lead for the Americas at Google Cloud, with multinational executive responsibility for strategy, thought leadership and solutions development focused on the markets of North and Latin America.
He previously served as Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Strategy and Innovation for Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), the fourth largest health insurer in the U.S.
and the nation's largest member-owned health insurance company.
Prior to this position, he was President of the Southwest Texas Region for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, as well as Chief Medical Officer, where he had oversight responsibility for sales, network, medical and community affairs for a 1.8-million-member business.
Dr. López has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.D. from Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is dual Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and continues to practice medicine in his free time at the company he founded, Hopscotch Health.
Murray is CEO of Conversa Health, a platform that automates care where possible and escalates to care when necessary. Healthcare organizations use the platform to keep patients on personalized evidence based pathways to better health. Conversa was chosen Best Remote Diagnostics company at the 2020 UCSF Digital Health Awards. Murray was named one of the top 50 Healthcare Technology CEOs of 2021 by Technology Innovators Magazine. In August 2021, Murray led the sale of Conversa to Amwell, the leading telehealth company building the infrastructure for our hybrid care future. Prior to Conversa, Murray co-founded/ helped lead a number of successful health-related companies, including Healthline, Talix, and Lypro.
